Sleep update. Teeth adventures.

FYI. Due to recent attacks from allergy's and pure exhaustion from starting my new job + babies starting day care, Saturday night I actually got into bed at 930p to play words with friends and then free cell and WAS ASLEEP BY 10pm! I was so impressed. I couldn't even keep my eyes open and had to give in. Even then, I still didn't feel well enough to go to church and missed :(. It's ok, cause Cora Grace and I got to have some sick mommy and teething daughter time that was fantastic. :)
this is how she woke up from her nap. 'twisted' in her p.j.'s

then play time

last, waiting for daddy and evan to come back from church.

In other sleeping news... I've been slipping back into 130a bedtimes and want to stop. I'm afraid it's an uphill battle for me. It's making me unhealthy and more susceptible to the allergies (besides the fact I eat horribly which doesn't help the matter). So wish me luck on that one.
Random other news. Today I had my first root canal ever with Dr. Mark Connolly of Three Rivers Family Dentistry. Let me tell you I was beeeeeeeeeeeeeyond NOT looking forward to this an was thankful for prayers and the blessing Michael gave me this morning before I left. I'm sure I don't need to explain why going to the dentist is nerve racking as most everyone has the same concerns. With that said, Mark, who is a friend as well, was AWESOME. He (and the staff) were excellent to me and for someone like myself who can be... irreverent at times, I really appreciated their calm understanding of how I felt, even though I'm sure I babbled on and on at times through my nerves. Now, I will not say it was completely painless cause yes it is sore now the numbing shots have worn off but the actual procedure was good. I dare say, 'relaxing'? Wow, I can't believe I just said that. Also for the first time ever, I agreed to have 'laughing gas'. That was a strange feeling but it did what it was supposed to, relax me. I don't know if I would use it again though because there were 2 times I started feeling a little nauseous, the second time, I didn't know if I would make it but they reacted quickly and I recovered quickly. Hallelujah! I am no fan of barfing, let me tell you. :) So, it's not the end, I have a little more work to finish with Mark as well as an oral surgeon but I am happy to say, I finally have a dentist here I trust and I am grateful for that (I've avoided the dentist for almost 9 years now!). Thank you Dr. Connolly and TRFD! :) (yes a plug and YES you should go. There are tv's on the ceiling for goodness sakes. I was thinking some of my friends would be happy being there all day if they just played Twilight movies while they cleaned her teeth lol).

"Home" again. smile.

Old/New boss :)

Some of the new faces to welcome you and make your appointments :).

Same ol' place. Ahhhh. :)
I'm back at Tangerine! OH HOW I LOVE IT! It is crazy how much I have missed my AVEDA products and especially the color line for my poor clients who put up with a Matrix inferior color for 3 years. I got back and saw old faces but mostly new faces. I'm impressed with my new co-workers skill and Mike and I love my boss Jim. He's owned Tangerine with 4 others since it's inception but recently bought out two of the owners who were ready to move on. That meant, I was ready to come back! Whoo hoo! :) Now I need to rebuild my book to be as busy as I once was, even though I only still work 2 - 3 days a week, I know I can do it and am excited.

Spinning

I got introduced to a great site called "Pintrest" and looked under the photography section to find a picture WAY better than these but I was inspired none the less. The photographer had put the camera around her neck, set the timer (plus I set mine on multi shots to try to get at least ONE) and spun with her subject. Her back ground was 'moving' but I was unable to re-create this as I'm still learning my camera. Still, the pictures were adorable. Evan's was my favorite, his look was so beautiful and a face I get the pleasure of seeing on a daily basis. I just love these babies. I hope you all try this and have better luck. The kids and I were getting too dizzy! I had to stop. I had fun though.

Monchichi and other adventures

Various videos taken of all the fun we've had over the last month and a half. :)

Happy Blogging :)

After getting home late from cleaning the shop last night, I was definately tired. When I finally sat down to check emails and such, I was in a daze. About 10minutes in, I realized something wonderful was different! THIS:

Thank you Cat's Pajama's for fixing the computer and thanks to my GENIUS nudge that he should try to use the screen off my broken lap top, it was FREE!! whoo hoo! we love free stuff. :) lol. Everything seems to be coming together nicely. (knock on wood)

Flowers for ME

FROM Me!! :)

Man, I just finished packing up and cleaning Lila's Chop Shop. I haven't turned in the keys yet but it's ready to pass on to the next suite holder. :) I totally failed in getting anyone to help me, and I actually for the first time ever, asked quite a few but it was like the worst night ever for anyone so I had to go it alone. I wasn't looking forward to it, my biggest concern was just getting my mini fridge into the truck. Not something easily done by myself, lol. I had the whole thing packed up AND mopped, dusted and wiped down in 2 1/2 hours! whoo hoo! AND my suite mate Shannon was there and helped me load the fridge. I am very thankful and am proud of how nice I left my space. Tomorrow I have to stop and leave the keys and I also bought another bouquet of flowers for my friend Laketra to wish her luck in my suite. She doesn't need it, she is very successful but we've become friends and I hope my space is better and conducive to growing her business. Ahhh. I'm so glad I got it done and can take it easy tomorrow with my beautiful babies before they start day care. I now feel I can survive the week ahead. Sigh. Thank you for all the encouragement by the way, it's very sweet. (and so appreciated)

Feelings about Tangerine and Day Care

This Thursday, I start back at Tangerine. I am very excited about this change. The Chop Shop had served it's purpose and I was beyond ready for a structured salon again. With that said, the Chop shop has so much privacy, that will surely be an adjustment for me. I am also glad my boss Jim is friendly to my family schedule of working 2 weekdays and every other Saturday. I just hope the transition isn't too stressful as far as my clients seamlessly making it over to the new place. I'm also thankful that some clients I haven't seen in a little while will be coming back to see me. I miss them so much, you talk about everything with your clients and you really do become friends. I can't wait to catch up on their happenings. :)
Day Care .... dun dun dun dun .... There are many things I thought and hoped that I wouldn't do once I became a mother. One, I hoped I wouldn't be working, lol... fail! lol. 2, I'd hoped I would be at home therefore my children wouldn't have to go to Day Care. I can't say there was anything about Day Care that I particularly didn't like cause I didn't ever know anyone who used it to be honest. It's that weird? Anyway, the day has come. Having the kids be watched at our house, was definitely not working anymore and taking them to another's house is now also too much, especially because Evan is so energetic and at his age needs so much purposeful interaction. It was starting to make me feel bad as a parent when I'd pick him up and many times I get what he did bad that day only. This now is only something a professional CREW can provide (besides myself). :) I am actually looking very forward to it, for him and hope he gets the interaction I think he deserves. He's such a sweet boy and I don't think he's been given opportunities to live up to his full potential. My bad, I hope the place I've chosen will help me in what he needs even at home. Cora Grace is so agreeable at this age, I just pray she will be happy and healthy for goodness sakes. :). A lot of changes this week and I admit, maybe a 'little' stress. Did I mention I also have to pack up and clean up my salon too (and have barely started!? Please wish me luck and say a little pray for my frivolous challenges. :) xoxo Thanks for listening.
fyi, on the bright side, the kids are being wonderful and both being sooo cute. I had an allergy "attack" Saturday night- Sunday morning, down for the count, so I missed church BUT I'm feeling so much better. Hallelujah. Michael is very patient with me and loves me regardless of the craziness. I hope I will be able to take a deep breath this weekend when the busy week passes. :)

Life Vest video's

I don't remember why we bought these life vests, it's not like we live on a lake or have time to go to any water besides our back yard sprinkler but here they are, life vests for both kids. I decided to try them on the kids tonight and boy was it worth it. Maybe not to you but I was dying laughing at Cora losing her balance and falling down so turn your sound down cause I couldn't help histerically laughing. Enjoy. :)

Next, while getting Evan ready for his shoot, Cora stole my prepped for filming phone and ran off with it. This is her directorial debut:

Last but not least is the sad lonely 2 1/2 year old of the house, wishing for the attention of yester year. lol. He is throwing himself on the ground so I will again hysterically laugh at him like I did CG. Sorry son, that time is over. lol.

"Do you have a lady bug up there?"

a few randoms...

Earlier today I was 'wiping my nose' and Evan who is currently obsessed with buggers, says,
"Do you have a ladybug up there?"
I have no idea where he got that from but it's the second time he's asked if I have lady bugs in my nose. lol. Honestly the best part is that he is genuinely concerned so I have to respond without laughing at him. :)

Now, here we have the beautiful Cora Grace, fresh awake from her nap today. I was trying to take a picture of her hair tornado for my sister Katrina who can appreciate a very embarrassing picture of myself as a young child with my own tornado. Only, when I was trying to capture her hair mess she threw in this hilarious expression and it had to be shared.

Lastly... My own laptop has been broken for months (where the cord connects to the mother board no longer connects) so I've been using Michael's. Well, about 2 weeks ago? I had carelessly left the computer on the couch and while this seems a perfectly safe place to leave a computer in ANY OTHER household, in our home it's danger zone #1. Evan is in constant time out for jumping on the couch etc so you can guess what happened. The computer was camouflaged by throw pillows so he really didn't know but he apparently stepped or jumped on it and now, this is what I have to read through and view my picture through;

Calgon, take me away!

Photoshoot with a friend

Next door to me at Salon Suites is an AMAZINGLY talented hairstylist named Laketra. Anyone who's been to my shop knows I have a 'little' shrine to my family esp my kids of all the photos I take or my friend Shannon Hairr Photography takes for me :). One day a few months ago she she said how much she liked all my pictures and asked if I ever take anyone else's pictures. I was all spastic cause I LOVE taking pictures and was excited about a compliment such as this... I was like, "why, do you want me to take your pictures!? Please!?? I would love to!" She's way too nice but may have been thinking... 'these white people are crazy'. lol. Anyway, she totally wanted me to take pictures of she and her daughter and I was excited. As time got closer to take the pictures (we were waiting for the shed to get finished cause we were using my back yard), he cute daughter couldn't be there, but next time! So, July 18th, I took these pictures in my back yard of just Laketra for my first official amature photo shoot! Whoot woot! I had such a fun time and she totally threw me off by how gorgeous she showed up at the house. I don't know what I expected but she glowed. I felt honored to take her pictures and she loves them so that's all that matters (she also has asked if I want more 'clients' cause 4 of her friends want me to take theres! engagements and pregnancy... i'm thinking about it but have a lot on my plate right now. but SO so SOO flattered). With no further adieu...
