Suckers and Dandelions

These were taken yesterday when it was pretty cold out still. (Today it was practically hot!) I had to bundle Evan up a bit (i just crocheted that scarf for him! :) so proud) so he could play in the back yard. Cora Grace and I decided to join him and mommy brought suckers. Why? Duh, for a photo op of course! lol. C.G. has never had a sucker before so I was really curious what she would do with it. She did suck on it as you can see but really looked at it a lot. Eventually she decided to garnish it with weeds, dirt and grass that her sticky little fingers grasped. Evan was very patient with my attention to her (he likes a lot of attention lately). I'm grateful I got a few pictures to make me happy. :)
Next... Evan went shopping in the grass with his shopping cart. I ran inside the house to put Cora in her exersaucer to play. I turned around to see Evan bending down to pick something up (please Lord, do not let it be dog poop!). My hand was on the door to yell to him not to pick it up when I realized he was only picking a dandelion flower. Whew! I more calmly went back outside to join him in the run when he saw me. He ran over to me and said, "FLOWER" and gave it to me. Awe... After that, he let me take some cute pictures of him. A true rare moment these days! ;)

Whew!

I finally am putting up the blog I have been working on for Tennessee Families Supporting Adoption! Whoo hoo! Recently I let you know I have volunteered to help out with organizing our local NEW TN-FSA Chapter. I was given the task to make the blog and had a great time putting it together. It has like no information for anyone that will use it yet but just posting it, gives us the responsibility to keep up with it, right? :) Anyway, I'm not just excited about the blog but about getting others involved with FSA, especially hearing that something we are teaching or guiding them in, helps them find their forever family through Adoption. I'm so grateful to our church for providing a way for us to more afford the adoption costs by suplicating the cost. I hope volunteering for service in FSA will give back a portion of what I have received from my 2 beautiful babies. Let me know what you think, I would love to know if you all think it is cohesive. I know there are many changes and additions ahead so I can handle it. :)

This weeks photos

I had a super-fun time with the camera this week as you can tell. It's extremely difficult to get a picture of Evan sitting still these days (and not in a 2yr old mood, lol) so you will get spoiled with pictures of Cora. I think the kids cuteness is self explanatory so I didn't comment on each one for once! The last 5 photos or so are at our niece's first ever track meet of which took sooOOO long to get to her event, we didn't even get to see her run cause we had to leave for the Predators game (v. Edmonton Oilers, of which we kicked booty!!!). I hope she had a good experience for her first meet and uses it to become the best competitor and athlete she can. We are proud of you Brooke! :)
